Lopar

Town, situated by the Lopar’s bay on the north coast of Rab, 14km north from the Rab town, connect by ferry with Baska on the Krk. It is named after the church of Sancta Maria Neopatri from 14th century. According of legend, the founder of republic San Marion (stonecutter Marinus Bizza) was originated from Lopar.

The Crnika bay with Rajska plaza lies at south-east of peninsula. At the popular "Heavenly Beach" (Rajska Plaza), in a total length of 1.5 km, are campsite and a complex of hotels, offering entertainment, recreational and sports facilities (tennis, basketball, football); fishing excursions, walks in the preserved nature. Even thought is a lot of opportunity for a great bathing, is Rajska plaza really busy place, especially in the main season.

The resort San Marino on the north part of Crnika’s bay is focused on the hotel types of accommodation (hotels, bungalow and apartments). It is big offer of sport’s lessons as a diving, windsurfing, yachting, etc. In Lopar are great conditions for sport’s activities. Not so far is 22 small and big, sometimes really romantic bays.
